Privacy Policy — Anoteo

The principle: everything is local. Anoteo is built so your data — meals, photos, weight, goals, profile — is stored and processed on your device. AI meal analysis runs on-device. There are no user accounts, no analytics collection, no ads, and your data is never sold.
1. Stored on your device only
Your meal log and photos, weight and water data, nutrition targets, personal profile (age, height, weight, activity level), allergen list, products you added, and display preferences. Deleting the app deletes them all.
2. iCloud (your account, not ours)
With iCloud sync enabled, data syncs through your private iCloud account using Apple's services; we have no access to it. Your profile syncs between your devices via iCloud Key-Value Store so a second device doesn't need re-onboarding.
3. Apple Health
Only with your permission, the app reads and writes Health data (weight, water, sugar, sodium, caffeine, alcohol, dietary energy). It stays in Health, under your control, and is never sent to us.
4. Sent only with your explicit consent
• Sharing a missing product: tapping "Send" uploads the product details (name, barcode, nutrition values, country) and any photos you attached to our server for review, to be included in the shared database. • Feedback: your text, attached screenshots, an optional email, plus app version, device type, OS version and language. • Diagnostic reports: sent only if you enable them in Settings.
5. Routine network traffic
• Downloading barcode and food-name packs from our server exposes your IP address to that server, as any internet request does. We do not store it. • The AI model downloads directly from Hugging Face servers. • Product photos are never downloaded from the internet — the app does not contact any third-party image servers.
6. Recipe sharing
A recipe you share is encoded inside the link itself (in the # fragment of the URL) and is never sent to or stored on our servers. Anyone holding the link can read the recipe's content — share it only with people you choose.
7. Anonymous install identifier
To prevent spam floods, product submissions and feedback include a random identifier created at install. It is not linked to your identity, contains nothing personal, and resets on reinstall.
8. Payments
Purchases and subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through your App Store account. We never receive, see, or store any payment details.
9. Your rights
Your data lives with you — full export is available in Settings, and deleting the app deletes everything. To remove content you sent us (a product or feedback), write to us.
10. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
